Autumn Guide

Aomori prefecture is in the northern part of Japan, so autumn comes early. In late October, the shades of the trees will begin to change to red, orange and yellow. The highlights of the autumn leaves are Mt. Hakkoda, Lake Towada, Oirase Gorge, Tsutanuma, Jogakura Ohashi, and Mt. Nakano Momiji. The scenery of the fields where many apples have grown and paddy fields rippling like a golden carpet during the harvest season are beautiful scenery only autumn can offer.
