Amazing AOMORI

Narumi Jozoten is a brewery famous as the maker of the Kikunoi brand. Its history goes back over two centuries since its founding in 1806. Kuroishi City is blessed with high-quality water thanks to its rich natural environment, and the historic atmosphere of its townscape has charmed countless visitors. Narumi Jozoten is located along the Nakamachi Komise shopping street, an arcade that was built during Japan’s feudal era to protect pedestrians from snowstorms in winter and the blazing sun in summer. The brewery makes its sake using well water originating in snowmelt from the Hakkoda Mountains and Mount Iwaki. It offers brewery tours and explanations of the brewing process with a prior reservation.
