[Latest news] We are pleased to announce the planned date for the reopening of the Kita Hakkoda hiking trails.

At a meeting of stakeholders on measures to prevent personal injuries caused by Asiatic black bears on August 21st, 2024, it was decided that the hiking trails would be gradually reopened.

In preparation for the reopening of the hiking trails, we are conducting trail patrols, trial openings to mountain guides and mountaineering groups (safety checks), and brush cutting work. If we continue in this manner, we expect to be able to reopen the trails, so we are pleased to announce the planned date for the reopening.

(If there are any changes to the planned reopening date, we will notify you accordingly.)
