Asamushi Aquarium

The northernmost aquarium in Honshu

Asamushi Aquarium is home to over 10,000 aquatic animals, including around 400 rare species from Aomori and around the world. One of the facility’s main attractions is the large saltwater tank, which features a 15-meter (49 feet) long viewing tunnel (15 meters wide, 4 meters deep) that makes you feel as though you are walking under water among the fish. In addition to the year-round dolphin shows, you can also observe sea lions, penguins, and seals up close in the Kaijukan (Marine Animal Hall). In the Petting Area, you can touch various marine animals.

Dynamic Dolphin Shows

Throughout the year, the aquarium hosts dynamic dolphin performances in a massive 188,000 gallon indoor pool. Watch the graceful animals fly from the water and display their agility with an exhilarating and unforgettable show.
