Nejo Castle Historical Site Plaza

Nejo Castle was built in 1334 (the first year of the Kenmu era) by Moroyuki Nanbu. The main part of the Nejo Castle site is the Nejo Castle Historical Site Plaza, which has been turned into a park. In the Honmaru Ruins area, buildings have been reconstructed based on archaeological excavations, to show what the castle looked like in the Azuchi-Momoyama Period (1568-1600).
