Shuji Terayama Memorial Hall
寺山修司記念館
The hall was constructed over a period of 3 years and opened in July 1997 as a place to preserve and exhibit items related to Shuji Terayama that his mother, Hatsu, donated to Misawa City.
The Exhibition wing has a total floor area of approximately 833㎡ and connected to the Foyer wing by a corridor. Seen from above, the building appears to be a wall clock that was often used as a prop in Terayama plays and movies.
On the outer wall of the Foyer wing are messages from about 30 of his friends and acquaintances and 149 porcelain panels depicting Terayama’s works.
