Masunosuke serves local dishes that are faithful recreations of simple Tsugaru home cooking once made by older women (babaccha) born in the Meiji era.
Our dishes feature fresh seafood from the nearby Tsugaru Strait, mozuku seaweed grown strong in the rough waves of the Sea of Japan, bluefin tuna, shijimi clams from Lake Jūsan, locally grown vegetables from the Tsugaru region, and seasonal mountain vegetables gathered by local male Tsugaru elders (occha) from the surrounding hills. Please come and try the unique flavours of each season.
