Tsugaru Winery
Tsugaru Winery, located in Tsuruta Town in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture, cultivates Steuben black grapes as well as four wine grape varieties including Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to produce wine. Centered around Steuben grapes, for which Tsuruta is Japan’s top producer, the winery crafts a wide range of artisanal wines. These include white vinification, rosé, bottle-fermented sparkling wines, red wines produced using dried grapes, and those aged in sherry barrels—all created with traditional methods while offering diverse flavours. At the café space, guests can enjoy a glass of wine paired with cheese and prosciutto while taking in views of Mt. Iwaki and the surrounding vineyards.
