LOVE VADOS, an apple brandy born in the Tsugaru region
Opened in October 2021, Mohodori Distillery produces apple brandy made from cooking-grade apples from the area around Goshogawara City. At the brandy distillery attached to its outlet store, visitors can observe the distillation facilities and the process of making apple brandy through glass.
LOVE VADOS is a 100% Aomori-made apple brandy that uses apples grown in the Tsugaru region, yeast harvested from the UNESCO-designated natural World Heritage Site of Shirakami-Sanchi, and natural spring water from the base of Mount Iwaki. Although you might think of brandy as usually having an amber tinge, LOVE VADOS is a white brandy that has not been aged in a barrel to bring out more of a fresh, sweet aroma. Its appeal lies in this clean, refreshing taste.
LOVE VADOS apple brandy can be sampled at the drink counter, with non-alcoholic options including soft drinks such as apple juice and coffee also available.
