Tapukopu Soyumura Village

タプコプ創遊村

A place where you can be surrounded by nostalgic scenery

Takko Town is the southernmost town in Aomori Prefecture. Amid its lush countryside, you’ll find Tapukopu Soyumura Village, where you can actually experience the town as it was 100 years ago. The village, which was created in order to reproduce and preserve the bygone rural living spaces of Takko Town, is filled with nostalgic scenery surrounded by a rich natural environment.

Five thatched-roof houses and other precious structures have been relocated to the village, all of them over 100 years old. The oldest was constructed about 350 years ago. Visitors can enjoy various hands-on experiences such as grilling sembei rice crackers, making soba noodles, making leather crafts, and looking at everyday articles and farm tools from bygone eras amid a nostalgic atmosphere.

*Hands-on experiences require a reservation.

Coming into contact with this bygone way of life is not something you can normally experience.

There is also a car campsite, so you can easily enjoy a whole day here.

How about immersing yourself in a traditional way of life while listening to birdcalls and the sounds of insects at Tapukopu Soyumura Village, a place that will fill you with a sense of nostalgia?
