Amazing AOMORI

Agurinosato Oirase is a pick-your-own farm and hands-on facility offering not only all sorts of fruits and vegetables but also various delights.

The sprawling premises contain a strawberry farm where you can enjoy delicious strawberries year-round, as well as a tropical fruit farm in an over-1,600-square-meter greenhouse utilizing the heat of a hot spring. The tropical fruit farm grows bananas, dragon fruit, papayas, and even some rare tropical fruits. Domestic bananas grown in snowy Aomori ripen with a rich fragrance and delicious taste.

At the adjoining buffet-style restaurant “Hyakka Ryosai,” customers can enjoy dishes made with plenty of local ingredients and menu items using ingredients grown on the farm.

Shopping is another delight of the farm, with fruits and vegetables grown at the facility, fresh vegetables picked by local farmers, and souvenirs available for purchase at the farm shop. Homemade bread, sweets made with Mochi Komugi wheat, or ice cream can also be purchased and eaten on the premises.

There is also a petting zoo where visitors can interact with many rabbits, ponies, goats, and other animals. Various different workshops are offered depending on the season, such as making soba noodles, making roll cakes with Mochi Komugi wheat, or making pizza using a pizza oven.

The facility even offers a free natural hot-spring footbath. Visitors can have a relaxing time while enjoying the farm’s delicious fruit and freshly picked vegetables.
