Yanagi no Yu
やなぎのゆ
Asamushi Onsen’s long-established ryokan, Yanagi-no-Yu, has cared for its hot spring since the Edo era (17th-19th century Japan). This bath is remembered in local stories as a place once reserved for only a select few, such as feudal lords, so soaking here can feel like stepping into a different layer of time. The water is gentle, the atmosphere is quiet, and the experience deeply calming. Dinner features carefully prepared Japanese dishes highlighting fresh seafood from Mutsu Bay and seasonal local ingredients. With warm, unpretentious hospitality, Yanagi-no-Yu offers first time visitors to Japan a single promise: genuine rest, and a stay with a story that has been carried forward for generations.
